Mission Statement
“To increase public awareness of the term “trauma” and the American Trauma Society so that its impact is commonly understood; to initiate, promote and/or coordinate (national research) prevention programs and activities aimed at reducing the incidence and severity of trauma; to advance trauma care throughout the nation through advocacy for development of comprehensive trauma systems; and to assure necessary resources to achieve these goals through member participation and philanthropy.”
